Women in Tech Panel by General Assembly

General Assembly has evolved in specializing in today’s in-demand skills, education and career. They are the leading source for training, staffing, and career transactions and foster a flourishing community of professionals pursuing careers they like. The event hosted by Joresa Blount, a journalist who reports on technology and innovation with a niche for profiling CEOs and founders of some of the most disruptive businesses on Silicon Valley. She currently writes for Forbes and was an absolute delight to talk to!

Getting an opportunity to speak and share my journey along with the various other inspiring stories from women in technology was such a pleasure.  We discussed, debated, argued but most definitely related to each others’ stories and realized how many of our audience members had similar experiences.  Being in a male dominated field, we talked about how how women in technology face difficulties, stereotypes and discussed ways in which we can break those barriers.  It was amazing really, coming together to help each other in the various situations and circumstances we were in – goes to show that when we team up, nothing is impossible because as cheesy as it is, the word itself says “I’m possible”!

Thank you Joresa, Joanne and Christine for a great conversation and for everyone who joined us – thank you for giving us the honor to share our stories with you.
